Professional Learning Opportunities for Teachers
As a Wilson® Accredited Training Partner, we provide professional learning opportunities for educators and schools to extend their expertise. We are dedicated to providing educators with the knowledge and skills they need to help students.
WRS Introductory Course
This 3-day (16.5 hour or 5.5 hours per day) course provides participants with an overview of the WRS curriculum and serves as the prerequisite for enrolling in the WRS Level I Certification course. This course, delivered over three consecutive days, examines reading research and the five areas of reading in relation to students in grade 2 through adult with persistent phonological coding deficits. WRS Level I Certification
The WRS Level I Certification course is designed to prepare teachers to effectively implement WRS Steps 1-6 with students who are reading and spelling below grade level as well as those diagnosed with a language-based learning disability, such as dyslexia. It consists of two components: the WRS Intensive Instruction for the Non-Responsive Reader (Steps 1-6) and the WRS Steps 1-6 Practicum. Learn more.
Prerequisite: WRS Introductory Course within the past five years.
Individuals who have obtained a Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field who have completed WRS Level I Certification may seek WRS Level II Certification. This advanced coursework provides in-depth strategies to implement multisensory structured language instruction successfully in group settings and advanced levels of decoding and encoding.
Just Words®
Just Words is a highly explicit, multisensory decoding and spelling program for students in grades 4–12 and adults who have mild to moderate gaps in their decoding and spelling proficiency but do not require intensive intervention. This program is designed for students with below-average decoding and spelling scores and should be combined with other literature-rich programs. Learn more.

Fundations® Levels K, 1, 2, 3 Launch
Based on the Wilson Reading System® principles, Fundations provides research-based materials and strategies essential to comprehensive reading, spelling, and handwriting. Fundations makes learning to read fun while laying the groundwork for life-long literacy. Students in grades K-3 receive a systematic program in critical foundational skills. Learn more.

Wilson Reading System (WRS) Advanced Courses
Individuals who have completed WRS Level I Certification may seek WRS Level II Certification. This advanced WRS coursework provides in-depth strategies to expand knowledge and practice of the Wilson Reading System. Requirements for all four course parts must be completed to obtain WRS Level II Certification.
Completion of WRS Level II Certification makes one eligible to receive the professional credential of Wilson® Dyslexia Therapist (W.D.T.). Learn more.
WRS Advanced Strategies for MSL Group Instruction Course
This 3 consecutive-day (15 hour) course course delves into essential techniques and strategies to improve all aspects of WRS group instruction through hands-on practice and discussion, and prepares participants for enrollment in the Group Mastery. The course examines the specifics of each WRS Lesson Block, with an increased focus on vocabulary, comprehension, and fluency instruction. Learn more.

WRS Group Mastery Practicum
This practicum requires successful delivery of a minimum of 50 lessons with an approved group of 3 to 6 students reaching Substep 3.1 or higher, and submission of at least 3 video-recorded lessons for observation and feedback. Learn more.
Prerequisite: WRS Level I Certification and current enrollment in or completion of the WRS Advanced Strategies for Multisensory Structured Language Group Instruction Course within the past 3 years.
WRS Advanced Word Study Online Course (Steps 7-12)
The advanced word study course provides in-depth strategies to implement multisensory structured language (MSL) instruction. This 55-hour online course provides instruction in advanced concepts of decoding and encoding to effectively use multisensory techniques to teach more complicated structures of the English language. This course is aligned with the systematic sequence of Wilson Reading System (WRS) Steps 7-12, including spelling option procedures, additional suffixes, contractions, and the following syllable types: r-controlled, and vowel digraph/diphthong. Steps 7-12 Practicum
In the WRS Steps 7-12 Practicum, participants focus on advanced word study and application of reading and writing skills with progressively more challenging levels of text. The practicum requires successful delivery of a minimum of 50 lessons with an approved practicum student, and submission of at least 3 video-recorded lessons for observation and feedback. Learn more.
